ISIS Fliers on a Marine Corps Base?


“While these leaflets may be a hoax, base officials are taking their discovery seriously,” a Marine Corps spokesman told The Daily Beast.

The town of Quantico is located inside the Marine Corps Base Quantico, which is the site of Marine Corps headquarters. To get access to the base, one would have to pass through a security check, stating a reason for entering the base and providing identification.

The flier itself shows an inverted Islamic State flag, with Arabic script below it.

Counterterrorism experts say that even if it turns out to be an authentic flier, the line about Mexico is unreliable.
